Draupadī Episode
वृथारोषप्रतिज्ञो वै नाहं भवितुमुत्सहे । अनिस्तीर्णो हि मां रोषो देहेदग्निरिवारणिम्
Ūrva uvāca | vṛthā-roṣa-pratijño vai nāhaṃ bhavitum utsahe | anistīrṇo hi māṃ roṣo dehed agnir ivāraṇim ||
ઔર્વે કહ્યું— “જેનો ક્રોધ અને પ્રતિજ્ઞા નિષ્ફળ ઠરે એવો હું બનવા ઇચ્છતો નથી. જો મારો રોષ પોતાના નિર્ધારિત અંત સુધી ન પહોંચે, તો એ અખર્ચાયેલો ક્રોધ મને એ રીતે જ સળગાવી નાખશે, જેમ અગ્નિ અરણિ-કાષ્ઠને ભસ્મ કરે છે.”
