Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
तस्यां संजनयामास कुरुं संवरणो नृपः । तपत्यां तपतां श्रेष्ठ तापत्यस्त्वं ततोडर्जुन
tasyāṁ sañjanayāmāsa kuruṁ saṁvaraṇo nṛpaḥ | tapatyāṁ tapatāṁ śreṣṭha tāpatyās tvaṁ tato ’rjuna ||
રાજા સંવરણએ તપતીના ગર્ભથી કુરુને જન્મ આપ્યો. તેથી, હે તપસ્વીઓમાં શ્રેષ્ઠ અર્જુન, એ જ વંશમાં જન્મેલા તું ‘તાપત્ય’ કહેવાય છે।
