Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
प्रसह बन्धने बद्ध्वा प्रशासिष्ये वसुंधराम् । एवं स निश्चयं पाप: कृत्वा दुर्योधनस्तदा । नित्यमेवान्तरप्रेक्षी भीमस्यासीन्महात्मन:
prasaha bandhane baddhvā praśāsiṣye vasuṃdharām | evaṃ sa niścayaṃ pāpaḥ kṛtvā duryodhanas tadā | nityam evāntaraprekṣī bhīmasyāsīn mahātmanaḥ ||
“તેમને બળપૂર્વક બંધનમાં બાંધીને હું પૃથ્વીનું શાસન કરીશ.” એવો પાપી નિશ્ચય કરીને દુર્યોધન તે સમયથી મહાત્મા ભીમને હાનિ પહોંચાડવાની તક સતત શોધતો રહ્યો.
