पाण्डुरुवाच अप्रजस्य महाभागा न द्वारं परिचक्षते

Transliteration

pāṇḍur uvāca aprajasya mahābhāgā na dvāraṃ paricakṣate |

Translation

પાંડુએ કહ્યું—હે મહાભાગ મુનિગણ! લોકો કહે છે કે જેને સંતાન નથી તેના માટે સ્વર્ગનું દ્વાર ખુલતું નથી. હું પણ નિઃસંતાન છું; તેથી દુઃખથી સંતપ્ત થઈને આપ સૌને આ વિનંતી કરું છું. હે તપોધન! હું હજી પિતૃઋણમાંથી મુક્ત થયો નથી; તેથી ચિંતા મને દહે છે.
