न सीदेतामदुःखाहें मा गमो भरतर्षभ । “इस मार्गपर केवल वायु चल सकती है तथा सिद्ध महर्षि भी जा सकते हैं। इस पर्वतराजपर चलती हुई ये दोनों राजकुमारियाँ कैसे कष्ट न पायेंगी? भरतवंशशिरोमणे! ये दोनों रानियाँ दुःख सहन करनेके योग्य नहीं हैं; अतः आप न चलिये'
na sīdetām aduḥkhāhe mā gamo bharatarṣabha
દુઃખની આદત ન ધરાવતી આ બે જણ કષ્ટ ન પામે; હે ભરતશ્રેષ્ઠ, તમે આગળ ન વધો. આ માર્ગે તો માત્ર વાયુ જ ચાલી શકે છે, અને સિદ્ધ મહર્ષિઓ જ જઈ શકે છે; આ પર્વતરાજ પર ચાલતાં આ બે રાજકુમારીઓ કેવી રીતે દુઃખ ન પામે? હે ભરતવંશ-શિરોમણિ, આ બે રાણીઓ એવો કષ્ટ સહન કરવા યોગ્ય નથી; તેથી તમે આગળ ન જાઓ.
