तस्य कालेन महता तस्मिंस्तपसि वर्ततः । तमाश्रममनुप्राप्ता दस्यवो लोप्न्रहारिण:,उस कठोर तपस्यामें लगे हुए महर्षिके बहुत दिन व्यतीत हो गये। एक दिन उनके आश्रमपर चोरीका माल लिये हुए बहुत-से लुटेरे आये
tasya kālena mahatā tasmiṁs tapasi vartataḥ | tam āśramam anuprāptā dasyavo lopnahāriṇaḥ ||
તે કઠોર તપસ્યામાં લીન રહેલા મહર્ષિના ઘણાં દિવસો વીતી ગયા. ત્યારે ચોરાયેલો માલ લઈને અનેક દસ્યુઓ તે આશ્રમમાં આવી પહોંચ્યા.
