अयाचन्त च मां राजन् वरं तच्च मया कृतम् । जाताउ्जातानू प्रक्षिपास्मान् स्वयं गड़े त्वमम्भसि
ayācanta ca māṃ rājan varaṃ tacca mayā kṛtam | jātaujātānū prakṣipāsmān svayaṃ gaṅge tvam ambhasi rājan |
હે રાજન! ત્યારે તેમણે મારી પાસે વર માગ્યો અને મેં તે આપ્યો. તેમની વિનંતી એવી હતી—“હે ગંગે! અમે જ્યારે-જ્યારે વારંવાર જન્મ લઈએ, ત્યારે-ત્યારે તું જાતે અમને તારા જળમાં ફેંકી દે.”
