Secondary Creation Begins: Brahmā’s Productions, the Guṇas, and the Emergence of Orders of Beings
एवमुग्रश्रवा: पृष्ट ऋषिभिर्नैमिषायनै: । भगवत्यर्पिताध्यात्मस्तानाह श्रूयतामिति ॥ ७ ॥
evam ugraśravāḥ pṛṣṭa ṛṣibhir naimiṣāyanaiḥ bhagavaty arpitādhyātmas tān āha śrūyatām iti
નૈમિષારણ્યના મહર્ષિઓએ આમ પૂછતાં, રોમહર્ષણપુત્ર ઉગ્રશ્રવા સૂત ગોસ્વામી—જેનુ ચિત્ત ભગવાનની દિવ્ય લીલામાં અર્પિત હતું—તેમને કહ્યું: હવે હું જે કહું છું તે સાંભળો।
This verse shows the proper mood of Bhagavata hearing: realized, Lord-dedicated speakers invite sincere listeners—“Please hear”—highlighting śravaṇam as a primary doorway to bhakti.
Because the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya had respectfully questioned him, and as a surrendered narrator he begins the response by calling them to attentive hearing of Bhagavata-kathā.
