Diti’s Puṁsavana Vow, Indra’s Intervention, and the Birth of the Maruts
इमे श्रद्दधते ब्रह्मन्नृषयो हि मया सह । परिज्ञानाय भगवंस्तन्नो व्याख्यातुमर्हसि ॥ २१ ॥
ime śraddadhate brahmann ṛṣayo hi mayā saha parijñānāya bhagavaṁs tan no vyākhyātum arhasi
હે બ્રાહ્મણ! હું અને મારી સાથે ઉપસ્થિત આ તમામ ઋષિઓ આ જાણવા માટે અત્યંત આતુર છીએ. તેથી, હે મહાત્મા, કૃપા કરીને અમને તેનું કારણ સમજાવો.
This verse shows that faithful hearing and sincere desire to understand are essential qualifications; with śraddhā, one approaches the teacher and requests a clear explanation.
Parīkṣit, along with the sages present, wanted a complete understanding of the narrated subject, so he respectfully urged Śukadeva to explain it in a proper, authoritative way.
Approach authentic scripture and teachers with faith, humility, and thoughtful questions—then practice what you understand rather than treating spirituality as mere information.
