teṣu yajñasya paśavaḥ savanaspatayaḥ kuśāḥ idaṁ ca deva-yajanaṁ kālaś coru-guṇānvitaḥ

યજ્ઞ કરવા માટે પશુ, સવન-વનસ્પતિ, કુશ વગેરે સામગ્રી જોઈએ; તેમજ દેવયજનની વેદી (યજ્ઞવેદી) અને ગુણયુક્ત યોગ્ય સમય—જેમ કે વસંત ઋતુ—પણ જરૂરી છે।
