राज्ञां ब्रह्मप्रसूतानां वंश त्रैकालिकोऽन्वय: । वंशानुचरितं तेषां वृत्तं वंशधराश्च ये ॥ १६ ॥

Transliteration

rājñāṁ brahma-prasūtānāṁ vaṁśas trai-kāliko ’nvayaḥ vaṁśānucaritaṁ teṣāṁ vṛttaṁ vaṁśa-dharās ca ye

Translation

બ્રહ્માથી ઉત્પન્ન રાજાઓની વંશપરંપરા ભૂત, વર્તમાન અને ભવિષ્ય—ત્રિકાળમાં અવિચ્છિન્ન રીતે ચાલે છે. તે વંશોનું વર્ણન, તેમના મુખ્ય પુરુષોના ચરિત્ર અને જે વંશધર થયા—આ જ વંશઇતિહાસનો વિષય છે.
