यथा घनोऽर्कप्रभवोऽर्कदर्शितो ह्यर्कांशभूतस्य च चक्षुषस्तम: । एवं त्वहं ब्रह्मगुणस्तदीक्षितो ब्रह्मांशकस्यात्मन आत्मबन्धन: ॥ ३२ ॥
yathā ghano ’rka-prabhavo ’rka-darśito hy arkāṁśa-bhūtasya ca cakṣuṣas tamaḥ evaṁ tv ahaṁ brahma-guṇas tad-īkṣito brahmāṁśakasyātmana ātma-bandhanaḥ
જેમ વાદળ સૂર્યમાંથી ઉત્પન્ન થઈ સૂર્યથી જ દેખાય છે, છતાં સૂર્યના અંશરૂપ નેત્ર માટે અંધકાર કરે છે; તેમ બ્રહ્મમાંથી ઉત્પન્ન અને બ્રહ્મથી જ પ્રકાશિત ભૌતિક અહંકાર, બ્રહ્માંશ જીવાત્માને પરબ્રહ્મના સાક્ષાત્કારમાં અવરોધે છે.
