Jarāsandha’s Siege of Mathurā, Kṛṣṇa-Balarāma’s Victory, and the Founding of Dvārakā amid Kālayavana’s Threat

बध्यमानं हतारातिं पाशैर्वारुणमानुषै: । वारयामास गोविन्दस्तेन कार्यचिकीर्षया ॥ ३१ ॥

badhyamānaṁ hatārātiṁ pāśair vāruṇa-mānuṣaiḥ vārayām āsa govindas tena kārya-cikīrṣayā

વરુણના દિવ્ય પાશ અને અન્ય માનવીય દોરડાઓથી, બલરામે જરાસંધને બાંધવાનું શરૂ કર્યું, જેણે અનેક શત્રુઓનો વધ કર્યો હતો. પરંતુ ભગવાન ગોવિંદને જરાસંધ દ્વારા હજુ એક ઉદ્દેશ્ય પૂરો કરવાનો હતો, તેથી તેમણે બલરામને રોક્યા.
