Sukta 55
इदावत्सराय परिवत्सराय संवत्सराय कृणुता बृहन्नमः । तेषां वयं सुमतौ यज्ञियानामपि भद्रे सौमनसे स्याम
idā́vatsarā́ya parivatsarā́ya saṃvatsarā́ya kṛṇutā bṛhán námaḥ | téṣāṃ vayáṃ sumatáu yajñíyānām ápi bhadré saumanasé syāma
To the This-year, to the Turning-year, to the Full-year make ye great reverence. In the good favor of those worship-worthy Powers may we abide—yea, in the auspicious, in goodwill may we be.
આ ‘ઇદાવત્સર’ (આ વર્ષ), ‘પરિવત્સર’ (ફેરવટનું વર્ષ) અને ‘સંવત્સર’ (પૂર્ણ વર્ષ)ને મહાન નમસ્કાર કરો. યજ્ઞયોગ્ય એવા તે દેવશક્તિઓની સુમતિમાં અમે રહીએ—હા, શુભમાં, સદ્ભાવવાળા સૌમનસમાં અમે રહીએ.
