Sukta 81
यद् द्याव इन्द्र ते शतं शतं भूमिरुत स्युः । न त्वा वज्रिन्त्सहस्रं सूर्या अनु न जातमष्ट रोदसी
yád dyā́va indra te śatáṃ śatáṃ bhū́mir utá syúḥ | ná tvā vajrin sahásraṃ sū́ryā ánu ná jātám aṣṭá ródasī ||
Though there were for thee, O Indra, a hundred and a hundred heavens, and earths likewise—yet should not a thousand suns in succession match thee, O Vajrin, nor what is born within the two worlds.
હે ઇન્દ્ર! જો તારા માટે સો ને સો આકાશો અને તેવી જ સો ને સો પૃથ્વીઓ પણ હોય, તો પણ હે વજ્રધારી! ક્રમે ક્રમે હજાર સૂર્યો પણ તારી સમતા કરી શકતા નથી; ન તો બે લોકની અંદર જે કંઈ જન્મે છે તે તારી બરાબરી કરી શકે.
