महान्वै भद्रो बिल्वो महान्भद्र उदुम्बरः । महां अभिक्त बाधते महतः साधु खोदनम्

IAST Transliteration

mahā́n vai bhadró bilvó mahā́n-bhadrá udumbáraḥ | mahā́m abhiktá bā́dhate mahatáḥ sā́dhu khódanam ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Great verily is the auspicious Bilva; great-auspicious is the Udumbara. Great, when duly anointed, it repelleth the Great (foe): well is the digging made.

Translation

નિષ્ઠાપૂર્વક મહાન છે શુભ બિલ્વ; મહાન-શુભ છે ઉદુમ્બર. મહાન (શત્રુ)ને પણ, યોગ્ય રીતે અભિષિક્ત (અભિષેક કરાયેલ) હોય ત્યારે, તે દૂર હાંકે છે; મહાનનું ખોદન (ખોદકામ/ઉખેડવું) સુસાધ્ય બને છે.
