कोशबिले रजनि ग्रन्थेर्धानमुपानहि पादम्। उत्तमां जनिमां जन्यानुत्तमां जनीन्वर्त्मन्यात्

IAST Transliteration

kośá-bilé rájani gránther dhā́nám upā́-nahi pā́dam | úttamāṃ jánimāṃ janyá anúttamāṃ janī́n vártmani yā́t

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

In the store-pit, O Night, from the knot—bind on the grain (and) the foot. Let the best birth, O kinsman, the unsurpassed womenfolk, go upon the path.

Translation

કોશ-બિલે (ભંડાર-ખાડામાં), હે રજની (રાત), ગાંઠમાંથી—ધાન્યને બાંધી દે, અને પગને પણ (ઉપાનહિ—પાદબંધ/પાદરક્ષા) બાંધી દે. હે જાન્ય (કુટુંબજન/સગા), ઉત્તમ જન્મ—અને અનુત્તમ જનીઓ (સ્ત્રીવર્ગ)—માર્ગ પર આગળ વધે.
