त्वं हि नः पिता वसो त्वं माता शतक्रतो बभूविथ । अधा ते सुम्नमीमहे

IAST Transliteration

tváṃ hí naḥ pitā́ vaso tváṃ mātā́ śatakrato babhū́vitha | ádhā te sumnám īmahe

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

For thou, O bounteous one, hast been our Father; thou our Mother, O Hundred-powered: therefore we crave of thee thy gracious favor.

Translation

હે વસુ (ઉદાર દાતા)! તું જ અમારો પિતા રહ્યો છે; હે શતક્રતુ (સો શક્તિઓવાળા)! તું અમારી માતા પણ બન્યો છે. તેથી અમે તારી કૃપા-સુમ્નની યાચના કરીએ છીએ.
