अनु प्रत्नस्यौकसः प्रियमेधास एषाम्। पूर्वामनु प्रयतिं वृक्तबर्हिषो हितप्रयस आशत

IAST Transliteration

ánu pratnásyaukásaḥ priyámédhāsa eṣām | pū́rvām ánu práyatiṃ vṛ́ktabarhiṣo hitáprayasa āśata

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Following the ancient seat, these dear-offerers—having strewn the grass and set the oblations—attained, in accordance with the former course, the appointed rite’s successful end.

પ્રાચીન આસન (ઔકસ)નું અનુસરણ કરતાં, આ પ્રિય-મેધાસ—જેઓએ બર્હિ (યજ્ઞઘાસ) પાથરી અને હવિષ્ય અર્પણ માટેની તૈયારી ગોઠવી—પૂર્વ માર્ગ અનુસાર નિર્ધારિત યતિ (વિધિ-ક્રમ)ના સફળ અંત સુધી પહોંચ્યા.
