Sukta 4
प्रवीयमाना चरति क्रुद्धा गोपतये वशा। वेहतं मा मन्यमानो मृत्योः पाशेषु बध्यताम्
pravī́yamānā carati krúddhā gopátaye vaśā́ | véhatam mā́ mányamāno mṛtyóḥ pā́śeṣu badhyatām ||
Driven onward she goes, wrathful, the Vashā, against the cattle-lord. Let him who, deeming her ‘barren’ (or ‘worthless’), so thinks—be bound fast in the nooses of Death.
આગળ ધકેલાતી તે ક્રોધિત વશા ગોપતિ (પશુધનના સ્વામી) સામે ચાલે છે. જે તેને ‘વેહત’ (વાંઝ/નકામી) માનીને એવો વિચાર કરે—તે મૃત્યુના પાશોમાં દૃઢ બંધાઈ જાય.
