आपस्पुत्रासो अभि सं विशध्वमिमं जीवं जीवधन्याः समेत्य । तासां भजध्वममृतं यमाहुर्यमोदनं पचति वां जनित्री
ā́paḥ putrā́so abhí sáṁ víśadhvam imáṁ jīváṁ jī́vadhanyāḥ samétya | tāsā́ṁ bhajadhvam amṛ́taṁ yám ā́hur yám-odanáṁ pácati vā́ṁ janitrī́ ||
Ye Sons of Waters, gather ye and enter round about this living man, O ye for whom life is treasure, assembling. Partake ye of that deathless thing which men call Yama’s mess—Yama’s oblation-porridge—which your Mother, the Begetter, cooketh for you twain.
હે આપઃપુત્રો (જળના પુત્રો), એકત્ર થાઓ અને આ જીવતા પુરુષની આસપાસ સર્વ તરફથી પ્રવેશો—હે જીવનને ધન સમાન માનનારાઓ—એકસાથે મળી. જે અમૃત તત્ત્વને લોકો ‘યમનો ઓદન’ (યમ-ભોજન) કહે છે, તેમાં ભાગ લો; તે યમનો અર્પણ-ઓદન તમારી જનિત્રી માતા (ઉત્પન્ન કરનારિ) તમારે બંને માટે રાંધે છે.
