Sukta 6
यज्ञं ब्रूमो यजमानमृचः सामानि भेषजा। यजूंषि होत्रा ब्रूमस्ते नो मुञ्चन्त्वंहसः
yajñáṃ brū́mo yájamānam ṛ́caḥ sāmā́ni bheṣajā́ | yájūṃṣi hótrā brū́mas té no muñcántv áṃhasaḥ ||
We name the Sacrifice; we name the Sacrificer; the Ṛcs, the Sāmans as medicines; the Yajus-formulas, the Hotṛ’s office we name: let these for us unloose from anguish and from sin.
અમે યજ્ઞનું નામ લઈએ છીએ; યજમાનનું નામ લઈએ છીએ; ઋચો અને સામો—ભેષજ (ઔષધ) સમાન—એમનું નામ લઈએ છીએ; યજુઃ-મંત્રો અને હોતા (હોતૃ)નું કર્મ પણ અમે ઉચ્ચારીએ છીએ: તે બધું અમને અંહસ (પાપ/ક્લેશ) અને વ્યથા-સંકટમાંથી મુક્ત કરે.
