FAQs

It prescribes a shuddhi (purificatory procedure) when digestion occurs without proper discharge of natural bodily urges, and it instructs worship of grace-bestowing deities followed by collecting the bath-water used in the purification.

It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical dharma-content by detailing procedural shaucha—linking bodily conditions, ritual purity, deity-worship, and specific ritual materials (snanodaka) as part of a codified purification system.

The verse frames bodily irregularity as ritually consequential and teaches that purity is restored through a combined act of devotion (deva-archana) and prescribed cleansing, thereby re-establishing eligibility for rites and reducing impurity-linked karmic fault.
