Adhyāya 144 — Kubjikā-pūjā (कुब्जिकापूजा)
ઈશ્વર કૂબ્જિકા-પૂજાની પદ્ધતિને ધર્મ, અર્થ વગેરે સર્વ પુરુષાર્થોમાં વિજય-સિદ્ધિ આપનાર સાધન તરીકે પ્રગટ કરે છે. સાધક માત્ર મૂળમંત્રથી અથવા સંપૂર્ણ પરિવાર-પૂજા સાથે આરાધના કરી શકે છે. ત્યારબાદ વિસ્તૃત કૂબ્જિકા મંત્રજપ, કર- તથા અંગ-ન્યાસ, અને વામા–જ્યેષ્ઠા–રૌદ્રી ક્રમમાં ત્રણ સંધ્યાઓનું અનુષ્ઠાન જણાવાયું છે. કૌલ ગાયત્રીમાં કૂબ્જિકાને કુલવાક્ની સામ્રાજ્ઞી અને મહાકાળી રૂપે સ્તુતિ કરવામાં આવે છે. પાદુકા-પૂજા રચિત નામશ્રેણીઓથી (ષષ્ટિ-સમૂહ, ‘નમો’ સુધી) વિસ્તરે છે; મંડલ-સ્થાપન, દિક્-પૂજન, બલિ-વાક્યો, બીજાક્ષર-વિન્યાસ વગેરે નિર્દેશિત છે. અંતે દેવીનું ધ્યાન ૩૨ અક્ષરોની સમષ્ટિરૂપા, નીલકમલ-શ્યામા, ષણ્મુખી, દ્વાદશભુજા, નાગ-ચિહ્નોથી અલંકૃત અને શસ્ત્ર-ઉપકરણધારિણી રૂપે કરાવ્યું છે. વિદ્યાઃ–દેવી–ગુરુ શુદ્ધિ-ત્રય, સ્થાન/આસન ગણના, માતૃકા તથા ડાકિની શક્તિ-સમૂહ સાથે આ અગ્નેય તાંત્રિક વિધાન મંત્ર, દેહ-ન્યાસ અને વિશ્વક્રમને એકત્ર કરી શિસ્તબદ્ધ વિજય-સાધના રજૂ કરે છે.
