ભગવાન અગ્નિ ‘વશ્યાદિ-યોગ’ નામના તકનીકી વિધિ-સમૂહનું વર્ણન કરે છે—વશીકરણ, આકર્ષણ વગેરે ફળ માટે દ્વ્યષ્ટપદ (સોળ ખાણા) યંત્ર/આલેખ પર આધારિત રચના. આરંભે પાંડુલિપિ-સચેત શીર્ષક અને પાઠભેદોની નોંધ છે; પછી દ્રવ્ય-ચિકિત્સા યાદીમાં ભૃંગરાજ, સહદેવી, પુત્રંજીવ/કૃતાંજલી, વિષ્ણુક્રાંતા/શિતાર્કક વગેરે નામો તથા પર્યાયો આવે છે, જે ગ્રંથની વ્યવહારુ ઔષધજ્ઞાન પરંપરા દર્શાવે છે. આગળ ઋત્વિજ, નાગ, મુનિ/મનુ, શિવ, વસુ, દિક્, રસ, વેદ, ગ્રહ, ઋતુ, સૂર્ય, ચંદ્ર વગેરે પદ-દેવતાઓ અને વર્ગો મુજબ યંત્રમાં બ્રહ્માંડ-તત્ત્વોનું દેહસંબંધિત નકશાંકન થાય છે. ક્રમશઃ ધૂપ, ઉદ્વર્તન, અંજન, સ્નાન અને અનેક લેપની વિધિ; સર્વકાર્ય ધૂપની વિશેષ પ્રશંસા અને અભ્યક્ત સાધકને માન-પ્રતિષ્ઠા મળવાની વાત છે. ઘર સુગંધિત કરવું, નેત્રાંજન, સ્નાન, ભક્ષણ, પાન, તિલક વગેરે ઉપયોગભેદે મંત્ર-દ્રવ્યસમૂહ અલગ પાડવામાં આવ્યા છે; અંતે વશ્ય, શસ્ત્રસ્તંભન, જલરક્ષા, ગર્ભલાભ, પ્રસવસૌલભ્ય અને પુત્રપ્રાપ્તિ માટે ગુટિકા અને લેપ, તેમજ ભૂત-સંખ્યા શૈલીમાં દ્રવ્યસંખ્યા-સંકેત આપવામાં આવ્યા છે. ઉપસંહારમાં ઋત્વિજ-પદની ઔષધિઓના પ્રભાવની પુષ્ટિ કરીને અગ્નિપુરાણની પવિત્ર, સુવ્યવસ્થિત તંત્રવિધ્યાનું સ્વરૂપ સ્થાપિત થાય છે।
