Tel le soc de charrue à la lame éclatante, le Soutien de tout lie en vérité, par un nœud coulant, les êtres désirés ; et, par cinq flèches et un arc, la Puissance primordiale—rougeoyante, génitrice de l’univers—les transperce.

Like a ploughshare with its bright (blade), the all-supporting one binds the desired (beings) indeed with a noose; and with five arrows and a bow the primordial Power—ruddy, the begetter of the universe—pierces (them).

Śakti (Māyā/Prakṛti) as the cosmic power that binds and liberates; pañca-tanmātra/pañca-indriya symbolismMahavakya: Indirect—supports Advaitic reading of Brahman as the substratum while Śakti functions as the operative power; can be aligned with ‘prajñānam brahma’ by treating Śakti’s ‘piercing’ as the awakening of consciousness through the senses.Atharva
