She (that power), having again undergone modification, became the veiling power (āvaraṇa-śakti) called the Unmanifest (avyakta), predominated by sattva. That which is reflected in it was the consciousness of Īśvara. He, whose māyā is under his control, omniscient, the primal agent of creation, maintenance, and dissolution, becomes the seed-form of the universe. He manifests the entire world that is dissolved in himself. Just as this cloth is spread out due to the force of beings’ karma, so, when beings’ karma is exhausted, he again causes it to disappear. In him alone the whole universe remains like a cloth that has been folded up.

Māyā (āvaraṇa-śakti), Īśvara, karma-based manifestation and dissolutionMahavakya: Indirectly supports ‘sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahma’ by presenting the universe as dependent manifestation within Īśvara/Brahman; not a direct mahāvākya citation.AtharvaChandas: Prose
