अथवा कृतकृत्येऽपि लोकानुग्रहकाम्यया । शास्त्रीयेणैव मार्गेण वर्तेऽहं मम का क्षतिः ॥२६॥

अथवा । कृतकृत्ये अपि । लोक-अनुग्रह-काम्यया । शास्त्रीयेण एव । मार्गेण । वर्ते । अहम् । मम । का । क्षतिः ॥२६॥

IAST Transliteration

athavā kṛtakṛtye 'pi lokānugrahakāmyayā | śāstrīyeṇaiva mārgeṇa varte 'haṃ mama kā kṣatiḥ ||26||

Translation

Ou bien, bien que j’aie accompli ce qui devait être accompli, par le désir d’accorder grâce et bienfait au monde, je chemine uniquement selon la voie des śāstra ; quelle perte y aurait-il pour moi ?

Academic Translation

Or else, even though (I am) one who has accomplished what is to be accomplished, out of a desire to show favor to the world, I proceed only by the scriptural path; what loss is there for me?
