अक्षरत्वाद्वरेण्यत्वाद्धृतसंसारबन्धनात् । तत्त्वमस्यादिलक्ष्यत्वादवधूत इतीर्यते॥२॥
अक्षरत्वात् । वरेण्यत्वात् । धृत-संसार-बन्धनात् । तत्त्वम्-असि-आदि-लक्ष्यत्वात् । अवधूतः । इति । ईर्यते ॥२॥
akṣaratvād vareṇyatvād dhṛtasaṃsārabandhanāt | tattvamasyādilakṣyatvād avadhūta itīryate ||2||
Parce qu’il a réalisé l’Impérissable, parce qu’il est digne d’être choisi comme le suprême, parce qu’il a rejeté le lien du saṃsāra, et parce qu’il est le référent de paroles telles que « Tu es Cela »—il est appelé Avadhūta.
Because of (his realization of) the Imperishable, because of being worthy of choice (the highest), because he has cast off the bondage of worldly existence, and because he is the referent of statements such as “That thou art”—he is called an Avadhūta.
