अन्नं बहुविधं हेम वासांसि विविधानि च । दातव्यानि हरेः प्राप्त्यै भक्त्या परमया युतैः
annaṃ bahuvidhaṃ hema vāsāṃsi vividhāni ca | dātavyāni hareḥ prāptyai bhaktyā paramayā yutaiḥ
Il convient d’offrir en aumône des nourritures variées, de l’or et des vêtements de toutes sortes; par ceux qui sont unis à la dévotion suprême, afin d’atteindre Hari.

Scene: Devotees distribute heaps of cooked rice, sweets, and fruits; folded garments and small gold coins are offered with humility before a Viṣṇu shrine; recipients bless the donors.
Charity offered with supreme devotion becomes a direct expression of bhakti aimed at attaining Hari.
