Brahmā
Tirtha: Brahmakuṇḍa (as ‘mama asmin sarasi’)
Type: kund
Scene: A serene sacred pond identified as the deity’s own; a pilgrim emerges from the water with folded hands, while others offer alms and sit in japa beneath trees; the atmosphere suggests auspiciousness and gentle prosperity.
Prosperity (śrī) is linked to disciplined dharma—ritual purity and devotion practiced properly at a sacred place.
Brahmā’s sacred saras/kuṇḍa within Ayodhyā, praised in Ayodhyāmāhātmya.
Perform vidhivat snāna (bathing), dāna (charity), japa, and allied observances at this tīrtha.
