Pulastya (deduced from Adhyāya context)
Tirtha: Gaṅgādhara Tīrtha
Type: kund
Listener: King (unnamed)
Scene: A focused pilgrim bathes at Gaṅgādhara on Aṣṭamī; the water glows; devas in the sky look on, emphasizing the rarity of the attained ‘paramaṃ sthānam’.
Mindful pilgrimage practice—especially tīrtha bathing on sacred tithis—leads to extraordinary spiritual attainment.
The tīrtha being praised is the site discussed in the Gaṅgādhara-tīrtha-māhātmya (Adhyāya 61, Arbuda Khaṇḍa).
Perform snāna (ritual bathing) at the tīrtha on the Aṣṭamī tithi with mental concentration (samāhita).
