बृहस्पतिरुवाच । ब्रह्मलब्धवरो दैत्यः पौरुषे च व्यवस्थितः । अवध्यः सर्वदेवानां मुक्त्वेकां योषितं सुराः । व्रजध्वं सहितास्तस्मादर्बुदं पर्वतोत्तमम्
bṛhaspatiruvāca | brahmalabdhavaro daityaḥ pauruṣe ca vyavasthitaḥ | avadhyaḥ sarvadevānāṃ muktvekāṃ yoṣitaṃ surāḥ | vrajadhvaṃ sahitāstasmādarbudaṃ parvatottamam
Bṛhaspati dit : « Ce Dānava, ayant obtenu une faveur de Brahmā et étant fermement établi dans sa puissance virile, est invulnérable pour tous les dieux, sauf par une seule femme. C'est pourquoi, ô Devas, allez ensemble d'ici vers l'excellente montagne Arbuda. »
