Tirtha: Piṇḍāraka (speaker; tīrtha named after him)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śiva (Devēśa, Tripurāntaka)
Scene: Piṇḍāraka, a brāhmaṇa-devotee, stands before Śiva (Tripurāntaka) with intense humility, declaring himself a gaṇa and offering total compliance to divine will.
Single-minded surrender (śaraṇāgati) to Śiva—placing no other desire in the heart.
Piṇḍāraka Tīrtha, whose māhātmya is being introduced in this chapter.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; the verse expresses devotional surrender, which becomes the basis for later tīrtha merits.
