देवा ऊचुः । यद्येवं देवि तेऽभीष्टमेवं कुरु शुचिस्मिते । वयं त्वां तत्र द्रक्ष्यामः शुक्लाष्टम्यां सदा शुचेः

Transliteration

devā ūcuḥ | yadyevaṃ devi te'bhīṣṭamevaṃ kuru śucismite | vayaṃ tvāṃ tatra drakṣyāmaḥ śuklāṣṭamyāṃ sadā śuceḥ

Translation

Les dieux dirent : «Si tel est ton désir, ô Déesse au sourire pur, fais ainsi. Là, nous te contemplerons toujours au jour de Śuklāṣṭamī, le huitième de la quinzaine claire, ô Pure».
