दृष्ट्वा बाष्कलिमायांतं देवाः शक्रपुरोगमाः । वार्यमाणास्तदा देव्या पलायनपरायणाः
dṛṣṭvā bāṣkalimāyāṃtaṃ devāḥ śakrapurogamāḥ | vāryamāṇāstadā devyā palāyanaparāyaṇāḥ
Voyant Bāṣkali s’approcher, les dieux—conduits par Śakra (Indra)—bien que retenus par la Déesse, se tournèrent vers la fuite et ne songèrent qu’à s’échapper.
