एवंभूतस्तदा शंभुः पार्वतीं प्रति चाग्रतः । उवाच त्वरया युक्तो वरं वरय भामिनि
evaṃbhūtastadā śaṃbhuḥ pārvatīṃ prati cāgrataḥ | uvāca tvarayā yukto varaṃ varaya bhāmini
Alors Śambhu, en cet état, s’adressa à Pārvatī qui se tenait devant lui ; pressé, il dit : «Ô belle, choisis une grâce : demande ce que tu désires».
