त्वदीयं हि जगत्सर्वं सदेवासुरमानुषम् । किमहं तु महादेव तुच्छो भूत्वा ददामि ते

tvadīyaṃ hi jagatsarvaṃ sadevāsuramānuṣam | kimahaṃ tu mahādeva tuccho bhūtvā dadāmi te

«Ô Mahādeva, ce monde entier—avec dieux, asuras et humains—t’appartient en vérité. Que pourrais-je, moi l’insignifiant, t’offrir ?»
