मां च उद्दिश्य भो इंद्र तद्भोगादेव संक्षयः । प्रायश्चितं हि हत्याया न दृष्टं स्मृतिकारिभिः

māṃ ca uddiśya bho iṃdra tadbhogādeva saṃkṣayaḥ | prāyaścitaṃ hi hatyāyā na dṛṣṭaṃ smṛtikāribhiḥ

Ô Indra, si tu diriges ta conduite vers Moi, son épuisement ne vient que par l’expérience même de son fruit. Car les auteurs des Smṛti n’ont point prescrit d’expiation pour le meurtre d’un brāhmane.
