तदवश्यमहं साकमधुना वह्निसाधनम् । करिष्ये कीर्तिवपुषः कृते सत्यमिदं सखे

Transliteration

tadavaśyamahaṃ sākamadhunā vahnisādhanam | kariṣye kīrtivapuṣaḥ kṛte satyamidaṃ sakhe

Translation

Ainsi, ô ami, je vais à présent accomplir à coup sûr l’épreuve du feu, avec toi (ou pour toi). C’est la vérité, pour l’amour de celui dont le corps est la renommée même, c’est-à-dire pour l’honneur.
