न त्वं कृतः केवलसंश्रुतश्च यजुष्येवं व्याहरत्यादिदेव । चतुर्विधा भारती दूरदूरं धृष्टः स्तौमि स्वार्थकामः क्षमैतत्
na tvaṃ kṛtaḥ kevalasaṃśrutaśca yajuṣyevaṃ vyāharatyādideva | caturvidhā bhāratī dūradūraṃ dhṛṣṭaḥ staumi svārthakāmaḥ kṣamaitat
Ô Dieu primordial, Tu n’es pas une chose fabriquée, ni seulement une réalité rapportée par ouï-dire ; pourtant le Yajus Veda parle de Toi ainsi. La Parole, en ses quatre formes, n’atteint que de loin ; et cependant, poussé par mon propre besoin, j’ose Te louer—daigne pardonner cela.
