कमठ उवाच । गुरवे प्राङ्नमस्कृत्य धर्माय तदनंतरम् । छंदोगीतममुं प्रश्नं शक्त्या वक्ष्यामि ते द्विज
kamaṭha uvāca | gurave prāṅnamaskṛtya dharmāya tadanaṃtaram | chaṃdogītamamuṃ praśnaṃ śaktyā vakṣyāmi te dvija
Kamaṭha dit : « Après m’être d’abord incliné devant le Guru, puis devant le Dharma, je répondrai à cette question — chantée en mètre sacré — selon ma capacité, ô brāhmane. »
