संपूर्णोद्रियगात्रा यन्मर्तुमिच्छंति वै वृथा । मुहूर्ताद्ध्यत्र खट्वांगो मोक्षमार्गमुपागतः

saṃpūrṇodriyagātrā yanmartumicchaṃti vai vṛthā | muhūrtāddhyatra khaṭvāṃgo mokṣamārgamupāgataḥ

Bien que les sens et les membres soient intacts, les hommes désirent pourtant mourir—vraiment en vain. Car ici même, Khaṭvāṅga atteignit la voie de la délivrance en un seul instant.
