Listener: the fearful being speaking in vv.125–126
Scene: Vyāsa, serene and authoritative, raises a hand in blessing: ‘Do not fear’; the devotee/listener is relieved, posture softening.
Compassionate guidance of a great ṛṣi can uplift a being from saṃsāra; divine-saintly grace works alongside past merit.
The promise is spoken within the Sarasvatī-bank narrative setting; the tirtha context is implicit rather than explicitly praised.
No explicit rite is prescribed here; Vyāsa gives assurance of deliverance and uplift to brāhmaṇya.
