अयं साधुरहो कष्टं कष्टमस्य महाजनाः । साधोर्वदंत्येतदपि पापिनां दुर्लभं त्विदम्
ayaṃ sādhuraho kaṣṭaṃ kaṣṭamasya mahājanāḥ | sādhorvadaṃtyetadapi pāpināṃ durlabhaṃ tvidam
«Hélas, cet homme de bien souffre—que c’est pénible !»—ainsi parlent les grands au sujet du vertueux. Pourtant même cela (la renommée de bonté) est fort rare chez les pécheurs.
