Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 70

सुहृद्वत्प्रतिबोध्यैनं प्रवर्तयति तत्त्वतः । काव्यालापादिकं यच्च कांतासंमतमुच्यते

suhṛdvatpratibodhyainaṃ pravartayati tattvataḥ | kāvyālāpādikaṃ yacca kāṃtāsaṃmatamucyate

Qu’on l’instruise comme un véritable bienveillant, tel un ami (su-hṛt), et qu’on le mette, en vérité, sur la voie du Réel. Et tout ce qui relève de la parole poétique, des entretiens et autres—lorsque cela est approuvé par la bien-aimée (kāntā), c’est-à-dire par l’âme noble et clairvoyante—est dit recevable.
