Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 22

वृश्चाप्यक्षयस्तस्य तुष्टो रुद्रो वरं ददौ । प्रयाग वटतुल्योऽयमेतत्सत्यं न संशयः

vṛścāpyakṣayastasya tuṣṭo rudro varaṃ dadau | prayāga vaṭatulyo'yametatsatyaṃ na saṃśayaḥ

Même son offrande (aux ancêtres) devient inépuisable ; Rudra, satisfait, accorda cette grâce. « Ce lieu est égal à l’Akṣayavaṭa de Prayāga — c’est la vérité, sans aucun doute. »
