Tirtha: Vāyavīya Tīrtha
Type: kund
Scene: In the northwest quarter, a tīrtha shimmers under moving air. Vāyu—nearly invisible, shown as a luminous figure with flowing scarves—bathes; currents spiral upward, and the whole landscape seems to breathe with him, signifying his attainment of world-prāṇa splendor.
Pilgrimage is renewal: tīrtha-snāna symbolizes re-entry into cosmic vitality (prāṇa) and dharmic strength.
Vāyavīya tīrtha, associated with the northwest direction around Arunācala.
Snāna is the key act, portrayed as conferring vigor and renewed life-force.
