अरे जडमते मा त्वं पुनर्ब्रूहीति याह्यतः । इत्युक्तोपि कुमार्या स नातिष्ठन्मदनातुरः
are jaḍamate mā tvaṃ punarbrūhīti yāhyataḥ | ityuktopi kumāryā sa nātiṣṭhanmadanāturaḥ
«Hé, esprit obtus ! Ne parle plus ; va-t’en d’ici.» Bien que la jeune fille lui eût parlé ainsi, il ne s’éloigna pas, tourmenté par la fièvre de l’amour.
