Type: ghat
Scene: A sacred ghat with a Varāha emblem or shrine ahead; pilgrims repeatedly immerse in the water while priests hold lamps; above, a symbolic vision of a grand Rājasūya yajña appears as a luminous overlay, indicating equivalence of merit.
Kāśī’s tīrthas can confer the merit of grand Vedic sacrifices through accessible acts like sacred immersion.
Yajña-Vārāha-tīrtha, praised as pāpanāśana (sin-destroying).
Prati-majjana—repeated immersions/bathing at the tīrtha.
